I am probably the oldest member of kshana J. My 7 yrs with kshana have been absolutely amazing. I love every moment I have spent. One of the most special moment for me was when we had gone to the spastic society in Bandra, we had arranged an orchestra and it was absolutely breathtaking to see how the kids were enjoying and jumping in their wheel chairs, one of the kids pulled me and told me that he wanted to dance with me, I was afraid to pick the kid from his chair thinking that I would hurt him, but I decided to pick him in my arms and was dancing with him all thru the event. That’s the most satisfying dance I have ever had in my life… A moment, which I cant express in words. One had to be there to see the smile and happiness on their faces… “Absolutely Priceless”

Its been two years since i have joined Kshana… I had never thought of joining an organization like Kshana but it made me change the way i took life… I learned how to get happiness from the smallest things in life… The orphan kids are like super cool… I mean they are just too good..
the old people just treat you like their own kids…. the happiest moments of my life is been given to me by Kshana… I love being a part of this organization…

Every now and then we keep on wondering how can things around be improved and how can i contribute. Well I got one such chance in my life when my friend Adi invited me for one of Kshan’s events and i guess i had made up my mind even before reaching there. It was one the most memorable day of my life and its been a roller coaster ride since then. We have laughed together, cried together, have had some of the best parties, but more than anything else it has been an incredible learning experience. When my friends describe how rocking their weekends, just my smile says that i had a bit more fun then them..

It took forever to reach… leaving me wondering how to give the best I could to the kids i was going to meet .We finally reached Aasha Dan , kids of all ages were gathered in a big room , someone’s birthday was being celebrated. For a moment I was startled , rooted to the ground wondering where to move amidst the crowd . Whether you are even required but all your inhibitions are lost because you don’t have the time to think as one by one the kids start surrounding you .And you are so engrossed , don’t even realize how the time passed .They all seemed happy to have company . There were a few elders too and I hade the honour of even becoming good friends with one ! She infact asked for my friendship ! We all ran , played around , stared at the t.v screen together .Laughed and I am sure cried silent tears .The tiny tots were the cutest of them all . The little bundles of joy would light up at the slightest human touch .It was one of the best times I have ever had and all due to them .

I had joined in for the event at St. Stephens Home in Bandra. Kshana…well it was indeed a great experience..this was the first of its kind for me…I think I still can remember those smiling cute faces of the kids i got to meet on the event. What’s worth mentioning is the jovial atmosphere created all round the place by the Kshanites..all of us had actually gone back to our childhood days for those few hours…playing games with the kids, dancing with them..was great to be there..atleast I got to do all these things after many many days since school/college! I wish we had a few more hours to spend with them! I think all were very spontaneous in the event and nothing was formally planned as such which is something I really liked. I would love to be a part of more such events in the future! Great going guys..keep up the good job!

My son and myself have been associated as volunteers with kshana. On two different occasions we have celebrated X-Mas eve with kshana and it has been an awesome, unique and fabulous experience where in love didnot have any boundaries and those smiles which we got could change
the darkest skies blue; as they were the most treasurable moments of happiness which had hearts full of content, serenity and bliss. Kshana has incorporated these values in my son who is 6 yrs now and they have become an integral part of us and thus we have decided to make this as
a festive ritual to be with Kshana on all major festival celebrations
