Hey Guys !!

The Kshanites spent some beautiful moments at the Jeevan Asha Old Age Home on 7th June. We saw the elderly magically transform into kids as they played a game of Housie with us. BIG smiles lit their faces up as they received their prizes. We left Jeevan Asha with a picture of their content and happy faces J J

So we are now heading to a new destination to see some new happy faces.

On 14th June 2009, we are scheduled to have an event at The Don Bosco Home ( Wadala ), which is inhabited by 70 energetic boys.

A dance workshop will be conducted by Mayuresh who was a contestant of the popular reality show ‘Dance India Dance’

Once the kids are done with all the dancing, we have a few games lined up, to keep their energy levels high.

And then there will be a DJ in the house playing their favorite chartbusters and following all the naach gaana will be followed by some yummmmmy khana.

The total cost of the event is Rs. 15,000. Donations are welcome in cash or cheques drawn in the name of ‘Kshana Charitable Trust’.

It would help us help the ones who really need a smile have a great time.

Kshana is now a registered NGO with the Charity Commissioner from December 2008 and currently we are seeking certification for 12A and 80G. We assure you of prudent use of your donation to us. Please visit our website www.kshana.org for more details

We have another event planned on the 21st June 2009. We will keep you udpated about it.

This email has a few pictures of 7th June event. Do have a look :)

Manav Seva Sangh- Old age home

Kshana has kick-started the summer with an event at Manav Seva Sangh’s old age home. We were greeted with about 50 odd toothy smiling oldies; who were eagerly awaiting our arrival.

As the clock struck 4pm; we set up the projector and dimmed the lights. And the much awaited fun-filled movie ‘Golmaal’ began. We specially selected an old movie so that our enthusiastic audience would connect to it.

And keeping all their aches, pains and ailments aside they were engrossed in the movie. They laughed and cried with Amol Plekar and Utpal Dutt.

It was indeed a sight to see.

After the movie they were served ‘Rainbow sandwiches’ prepared by our very own Kshana team with Frooti. We too had a blast in the kitchen.

They enthusiastically posed for pictures with us. (Do check the link). After another round of toothy smiles they bid us good-bye only to tell us that they’d wait for more of these events in the future.
