Diwali event 2009

Hi,
The festival of lights is finally here.
And we do our best to light up the lives of as many as possible.
This year we have an event at Prem Sadan in Malad, Marve Road near the Retreat on 19th October - Monday. This home has 57 girls, who are bursting with energy and enthusiasm. The event starts at 2 pm and will wind up at about 6 pm.
We would be holding a couple of creative, inter-active workshops for them (which are still in the finalisation stages).
After that we will be playing soe more games, and wrapping up with our signature hour of dance, Diwali celebration and sumptuous festive dinner thereafter.

The total cost of the event is Rs. 40,000. Donations are welcome in cash or cheques drawn in the name of ‘Kshana Charitable Trust’.
It would help us help the ones who really need a smile have a great time.

Kshana is now a registered NGO with the Charity Commissioner from December 2008 and currently we are seeking certification for 12A and 80G. We assure you of prudent use of your donation to us. Please visit our website www.kshana.org for more details.

Hope to see you soon for one of our grandest events of the year.

Do reply back to let us know if you can make it.

Please feel free to call Roshni on 9820750480 or Esha on 9820373176 for more.

Season’s greetings to everyone.

    Little Cute Diya…..

I always wanted to celebrate my diwali differently. This year I got a chance. I was searching good diwali wishes for office people and stumbled to testimonial of “kshana” diwali event on net. Called up Roshni and found out this years details.

Kshana offered to celebrate Diwali with orphan girls at Prem Sadan ,Children’s home at Malad west. Girls were 60 in numbers. I decided to join.

I bought perk chocolates for orphanage girls. When reached there, girls were busy in making fish on cardboard. The event Organisation was quite weak. So many volunteers but they couldn’t use them on full strengths. I was waiting to be part of some activity hence without much delay just joined 1 sub group of girls. The bag making competition was on. My creative mind quickly geared up in full speed. Drew few designs on my train coupons and gave to group girls. The youngest girl in my group was in 4th standard and didn’t know how to stitch. I decided to help out her. I took the charge of needle thread and cloth patches. And within 1 hour a small cute bag with “smiley” on it was ready to use. The girl was amused. I could see the delight and sparkle in her little eyes.. Thts the moment I felt, I just illuminated the very cute diya :)

    Cheers,
    Milan
